Murung Raya has several habit or traditional ceremonies  every year which are called the Wara ceremony and Manugal ceremony. The first, Murung Raya has traditional ceremony of death called Wara ceremony. Wara ceremony is a traditional ceremony of death carried out by the Kaharingan community to deliver ancestral spirits to the last place called Lewu Tataw (heaven). This ceremony was held from a family of people or spirits who haad died a year or two ago, and symbolized in the form of offering in the form of food and drink. The second, Murung Raya also has a traditional ceremony to plant rice which is named a Manugal ceremony. Manugal ceremony is an annual ceremonythat must be made in the form of gratitude for the Dayak people for their fields that can be planted with rice in the hope that their yields are very abudants. The ceremony is held in a place near the rice fields (Panyugu).
